Footy Banter!, New Season kicks off 16/8 !!

Well the new season is nearly upon us, surely we have some football fans amongst us?
Who are your teams? How well to you expect to do this season? etc, etc. Well my team are...  Yeah, thats right!! UP THE BORO!!!!!! This season were gonna win the FAcup and qualify for Europe through the league!! Alfonzo Alves is gonna be this seasons overall top scorer with 30+ goals. You heard it here first, tell your friends  Optimism aside, We'll probably have a typical boro season  which means we overachieve against the top 4 and underachieve against the other 15. We always have a decent cup though, before crashing out to some shitty team like Cardiff City (yes, that still hurts ) Then finish the league somewhere between15th and 10th. Thats always how it goes!! I hope we do have some football fans on here cos I enjoy a bit of footy banter

I'll revive this thread!
I'm not a massive footy fan, but I do take interest in it all. My team is....wait for it... Man Utd, although my home team (Bangor) won the Welsh Cup this year and are now playing in Europe so I may go and see them. I think the most interesting battle is going to be for not getting relegated. There are quite a few teams who look like they might go straight back down (Stoke) and it's going to be fun to see how the struggle. As for the other end, it'll probably be a Chelsea year, and I don't think Ronaldo will do as well as last season. A couple of months ago I was worrying about him leaving, now I think Fergie should have sold him. -------------------- |
