Ever since Yoda and Darth Vader appeared in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Soulcalibur IV respectively, it's been pretty obvious that Namco would give players the chance to download both characters on the same format. Low and behold, Namco announced just that on Friday, but along with a $5 price tag.
Apparently these characters are already on the discs, so players are essentially paying to 'unlock' content they already own. I'm all for downloadable content, but not when it's so obvious a company is trying to drag a few extra pounds from loyal customers. Will you be downloading Yoda or Vader? How do you feel about downloadable content as a whole? -------------------- Playing: Heavy Rain (PS3)

Its a bit of a jip really. It was obviously coming eventually. I thought that they would of offered it for free though. Tight bastards!! equates to, but its too much! Being the massive Soul Calibur fan that I am I'll probably get it. I even got the school girl outfits DLC is a great feature to have if it extends the games lifespan. Im still looking forward to my GTA:IV DLC, it was one of the reasons I bought a 360 believe it or not!! And with the news the the new Tomb Raider has exclusive 360 DLC jobs a goodun. I'm glad I bought 360 over a PS3. -------------------- |

The DLC has got to be worthwhile otherwise what's the point? I totally disagree with the idea of paying to unlock something already on the disk, I mean I've paid £30-50 for this game, why am I being forced to pay more to get something that I've already paid for? Trading standards should be all over this, it's only one step away from drm.

Here it's $20 for 1400 points.
