Farewell Ninty...

After nearly a decade talking all things Nintendo, our beloved little baby Ninty will be taken offline on 12th March 2012. That's right, Ninty's going the way of the GameCube, just like nature intended.

We've been through a boatload of staff, designs and Nintendo revelations over the years, but we all know the true star of Ninty has always been its forums. We've all made some great friends thanks to this little site. I've grown up on these boards, and it's a sad day to see them go.

But this shouldn't be the end! Let's swap email addresses, phone numbers, and maybe even organise a Ninty meet-up!

Thank you so much to all the Ninty regulars who've managed to keep this site rolling on all these years. Working with Benji Dude, PeeJay, Tomsta, Colin, Patrick and many more has made this site a pleasure to run.

Lets bring this thread back beacuase it was a fairly popular one.

Ive been in full on Brit flick mode recently, I watched...

What i'd heard about this was that its was like Oceans 11 meets The Sweeney!!
Pretty good, was never going to be as slick as Oceans 11 but it was good all the same.

Really REALLY good! The young lad who played the lead was excellent.
The story is pretty disgusting, with all the racism etc. Fairly uncomfortable veiwing.
But definately worth a watch. Tomsta reccomends...

I can't get enough of our games and movies threads, so let's try and spread the love to good old television. Watched a complete season of a TV show recently? As it's a little tougher to work through an entire series feel free mention shows you've seen in the last few months.

I was a little too young to catch this the first time around, but I've worked through the entire show in one go and loved every minute. This may well be my favourite ever TV series.

It feels like eons ago since I last posted here, and I've been doing a fair bit so I thought it'd be nice to have a bit of a catch up thread going on...

So I finished my year studying in Sydney Uni, have been travelling for 7 weeks in France and Morocco, now it's back to Bristol Uni for my last year of Aero Eng.

Sadly, with all the travelling I haven't had much time to pick up my Wiimote or DS (no, don't have one of those fancy 3D things) so I've been pretty poor on the games front. I did have about 3 weeks back home before travelling to France and Morocco when I restarted Twilight Princess. Just as good as it always was :0

So what's everyone else been up to of late, have I missed much?!

Alton Towers

Just got back from my staycation. We had a couple of days down at Alton Towers
Just wondered if any of you lot had been recently, and what you thought about it?

For those who don't know, it is probably the UKs biggest and best theme park.

We ordered a two day pass online, and checked into a premier inn just outside Derby.
About a 10 minute walk from Pride Park, which is a pretty cool stadium btw.
God knows why we chose Derby? I mean it was a good 30-40 minute run to get to the Park.

But anyway, shit was awesome!! All the rides are quality. The lines were pretty good.
The weather stayed nice, which was a HUGE plus!! Even the hotel was nice, Lenny Henry speaks the truth.

Anyone been recently then? What did you think?

New-look Wii this Christmas

3DS Price Cut...

Well I guess you guys are full aware that a 3DS price cut kicks into effect tomorrow what with a third of the original RRP being cut. So Nintendo are offering the early-adopters 20 free games as a gesture. Question is, would you prefer cash back or these 20 games (I've heard it's 10 NES & GBA Games...) and why?

I can confirm that the loach is indeed in the 3DS edition of Ocarina of Time, and it is indeed catch-able.

Dual-boot windows and linux.
700$.

Old pc:
3.4 ghz quad-core, 4 gb ddr2, .5 TB, ati HD 4750. Windows 7.
