Farewell Ninty...

After nearly a decade talking all things Nintendo, our beloved little baby Ninty will be taken offline on 12th March 2012. That's right, Ninty's going the way of the GameCube, just like nature intended.
We've been through a boatload of staff, designs and Nintendo revelations over the years, but we all know the true star of Ninty has always been its forums. We've all made some great friends thanks to this little site. I've grown up on these boards, and it's a sad day to see them go.
But this shouldn't be the end! Let's swap email addresses, phone numbers, and maybe even organise a Ninty meet-up!
Thank you so much to all the Ninty regulars who've managed to keep this site rolling on all these years. Working with Benji Dude, PeeJay, Tomsta, Colin, Patrick and many more has made this site a pleasure to run.

Edit: Since it looks like we won't be meeting up until late-March/early-April, we've decided to put our shutdown date back just a tad. Once we've all had a chance to say goodbye in person we'll pick an official closing date again. -
New-look Wii this Christmas

Nintendo will launch a redesigned version of the Wii in time for Christmas.
The new-look Wii will be sold in a bundle with mini-game collections Wii Party and Wii Sports, reports ONM.
Gamers will also get the new Wii Remote Plus controller and a Nunchuck.
The console's facelift will allow the device to better sit horizontally rather than vertically.
It's the first redesign for the Wii since the console's launch in 2006, although various coloured versions have been issued.
We'll update when we get first pictures of the new hardware.

We've taken our sweet time doing it, but Ninty's finally gone 'forums-only' - just like I promised many moons ago. Maybe now you won't all be distracted by the front page's pretty colours and we can get back to what matters: super-cool games and that!
